In Savannah Lakes Village, outdoor sporting adventures abound in all directions.  The community is bordered by 63,368 acres of protected land (including two state parks and the Sumter National Forest), the 70,000 acre Lake Thurmond (Clarks Hill Lake), and the Little River Blueway Outdoor Recreation Area.  The surrounding land and water not only offer a natural buffer for our community, but also provide an amazing array of outdoor sporting opportunities.

Residents of Savannah Lakes Village enjoy and have easy access to the following activities:

 Biking
   Camping

 Kayaking
 Wake Boarding
 Geo Caching

Fellowship With Friends & Neighbors

The natural features of the land, along with trails and other improvements provide for the numerous outdoor sporting actives.  However, it is the established groups such as the SLV Rod & Gun Club, Lake Thurmond Sail & Power Squadron, and the SLV Outdoor Adventures Club (coming Summer 2010) that provide the programs and social events to encourage large amounts of participation in the great outdoors.  Check out these clubs and other outdoor sporting activities in the immediate area  in the links provided at the top of this page.

Hiking & Biking Trails

Savannah Lakes Village is surrounded by countless miles of Hiking & Biking Trails, which are located throughout the surrounding State Parks, Sumter National Forest, and Corps of Engineers land.  In addition to these trails are hundreds of miles of Forestry Service roads, some of which lead to the lake, the Little River, or historical sites.

Visit www.LittleRiverBlueway.org for a detailed listing of local trails along with detailed trail maps and overall region maps.
