It’s September and the heat is still on in South Carolina. There is no better time to enjoy some homemade ice cream. Here in South Carolina we grow some world famous tasty Peaches. We use the Jefferson variety here at the club which make for a very sweet and consistent peach. Perfect for most recipes. I will share my peach ice cream recipe for those who are adventurous and want to try this at home. If it’s not possible for you to try this at home or you just want to purchase some please join us at the River Grille as we have some on sale to purchase while dinning at the River Grille. Please note that our production capacity is such that we won’t be able to sell take out ice cream at this time, but we would love you to come and try this delicious ice cream!

Recipe as follows:
• 6 eggs, beaten
• 3 1/2 cups white sugar
• 10 fresh peaches, pitted and chopped
• 4 cups heavy cream
• 2 cups half-and-half cream
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions
1. In large bowl, mix together eggs and sugar until smooth; puree peaches in blender or food processor and stir 5 cups of puree into egg mixture. Stir in cream, half-and-half, vanilla and salt and mix well.
2. Pour mixture into freezer canister of ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
