The natural features of the land, along with trails and other improvements provide for the numerous outdoor sporting actives. However, it is the established groups such as the SLV Rod & Gun Club, Lake Thurmond Sail & Power Squadron, and the SLV Outdoor Adventures Club (coming Summer 2010) that provide the programs and social events to encourage large amounts of participation in the great outdoors. Check out these clubs and other outdoor sporting activities in the immediate area in the links provided at the top of this page.
